I’m Good Either Way

I'm hot
My chest is tight
Stifling feeling
I'm drowning
Under the oppression
I'm a misunderstood
Misfit

Luckily
I know how to swim
I learned that at a young age
I was at my nan's house
It was summer
I remember lying on a grass
I was looking for
four leaved clovers
I had a sense of
Peace, expansion
And freedom
Thus never left me

I can go to that place
Anytime I want
I just close my eyes

I'm glad to have
been there because
Since then life has
Spun me around
A thousand miles
Per hour

I know who I am
And I'm good
Either way

No one
Has the power
To control me
And I will never
Exchange my values
For being liked

I know who I am
And I'm good
Either way
